A carding line is running at extreamly high speed with very little gaps between the turning cylinders. The cylinders are covered with metal wire which combs the the fibres. These machines run extended shifts continuously and need to to be reliable , built robustly with good quality components, any deviation from its set path can have disastrous consequences and render your machine useless. The safety interlocks for the equipment should be of the highest standards when human life is involved. If price was the only issue nobody would be buying the expensive Eurpean machines, but this has not happened and people still appreciate quality.
